In this project I tried to frame items of litter I found throughout the city from a more artifactual and archeological perspective, categorising pieces according to their type as shown below. I intended to use this project to call to attention the manner in which we so readily dispose of items of packaging, and how easily we've come to see these as an inevitable part of the landscape of urban environments.
My main visual outcomes for this project, categorising bottles, drinks cans and chocolate bar wrappers which were the items of litter I encountered most often during my field study
Explorations of different layer separations and combinations I played with when creating my visual outcomes
Field sketches and notes on items of rubbish I found walking around the city
